Glyphosate study licence agreement – Privacy Statement
wishes to inform you about processing of your personal data in the context of the Glyphosate study licence agreement which you enter with us. Your personal data is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are responsible to ensure that our processing of your personal data meets the requirements of the GDPR.
The purpose for which we collect and process your personal data is the execution of the Glyphosate study license agreement in which we agree to provide to you information about scientific studies on glyphosate. In addition, we use your personal data to facilitate scientific discussions with you. The respective legal bases for data processing are GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f).
The personal data which we collect and process are your contact details (e.g. name, organization, address, email-address) and your interests related to glyphosate (e.g. glyphosate study name).
Access to your personal data will be given to our departments which are involved in providing respective information to you and to manage potential follow-up activities. Your personal data may also be provided to our affiliates and service contractors who are involved in executing the Glyphosate study license agreement. Such service contractors are carefully selected and regularly monitored by us. They will only process personal data in accordance with our instructions and on the basis of appropriate data processing agreements.
Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in a country outside the European Economic Area for which the European Commission has not decided that it ensures an adequate level of data protection. In such cases, we will set up appropriate protection measures as required by GDPR. For example we generally will apply the so-called “standard data protection clauses” adopted by the European Commission. You can obtain a copy from us on request. Also alternative protection measures may be implemented.
We will retain your personal data for at least 15 years. Your personal data will then be deleted if there are no other legal reasons to further processing.
You have the right to request information from us about your personal data, access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning your personal data or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority.
